If you are reading this it is because you know that Instagram does not allow you to add line breaks directly into its application. There are several ways to achieve that, here we will tell you how to add spaces to your Instagram posts.
- Using Perfect Post.
- Adding periods.
- Using other text editing apps.
Using Perfect Post
We created Perfect Post, a web app that allows you to add line breaks easily to your Instagram posts. You can use it from your phone, tablet, or desktop computer. It works perfectly with Android devices and a wide variety of iPhone devices. It even works with your post scheduling app like hootsuite.
To use it just click here. Once in the application, type your post in the text box that is available for it. There you can add as many line breaks as you want, as well as emojis and tags. Once you have the post ready just click on the button below the text box, the post will be automatically copied to the clipboard of your device, and then you can paste it into the corresponding space in the Instagram application.
In case you have doubts about how to use the application, next you will also find an explanatory video that will tell you step by step how to use it.
You can use the application as many times as you want.
Adding Dots and/or Symbols.
Another way to add line breaks to your posts is with the use of dots and symbols. To do this, at the end of each paragraph you must place a period and push the Intro or Return button to jump to the next line, there again you place a period, symbol or emoji, and then again you press the Enter or Return button to jump to the next line, in which the new paragraph goes.
This method can fail, there are devices where it doesn’t work and others where you have to try again and again. Another disadvantage is that your publications will present those additional dots or symbols that will strip them of elegance.
Using Other Text Editing Apps
With this method you must use any application where you can type texts such as blog notes, mail, Whatsapp, etc.. Simply write the post, copy it to the clipboard and paste it where it belongs on Instagram. This method like the previous one doesn’t always work, it will depend on the device you use as well as on the application.
